The stability of the family unit is under siege. In 2022, the United States witnessed 673,989 divorces and annulments across 45 states, while 2,065,905 marriages occurred in the same year.
Globally, certain countries report even higher divorce rates. There is a global trend of marital instability.
Consequently, single-parent households are on the rise. In 2022, the U.S. Census Bureau reported 10.9 million one-parent family groups with children under 18, with 80% maintained by mothers.
This shift places immense pressure on single parents and disrupts the traditional family structure.
